Life On The Fast Lane

This Article Is Taken From "The Star Newspaper" And www.jay-chou.net

Initial D, the fast-paced racing movie based on the anime series and computer game has finally made it to the big screen, but while this movie may focus more on the racing action, it is the charisma of its young stars that gives it much of its appeal. What many fans will probably look out for is Taiwanese singing sensation Jay Chou who is making his feature debut playing the lead character of gifted racer Takumi Fujiwara."I love this film and racing even though I do not normally watch it, if I had the right car I would love to race," says Chou, who owns a Toyota AE 86, the same model he drives in the movie.A big fan of movies, especially of the kung fu genre, Chou's exprience in making Initial D has whetted his appetite for more, and is at the moment considering another movie role about a pianist. However, his dream role is something far less serious.

"I love movies based on cartoons and comic books and I have always wanted to play the boy (Nobi Nobita) in the cartoon "Xiao Ding Dang" (Doraemon), and if they make it into a movie, I would definitely be interested," he says enthusiastically. He has also received some accolades from Intial D co-star Anthony Wong, who said recently that Chou has potential to win some awards. "I am happy in his conviction in me and I will continue to work hard on other films apart from my music because I love watching movies," he says. Malaysian readers of The Star's Youth 2 have consistently ranked Chou as the coolest Asian celebrity, and accolade he is grateful for. In giving advice to his fans, he stresses the importance of filial piety."While you should be focused and hard working, an even more important thing is to be filial, as I feel being filial to your parents is more important than anything else," he says.

The movie also stars Edison Chen and Shawn Yue as racing duo Ryousuke Takahashi and Takeshi Nakazato respectively. It is their first appearence together since the Infernal Affairs trilogy. For Chen, the shoot was particularly difficult as he dislikes driving fast cars after witnessing someone becoming crippled in a car accident when he was 12 years old. "When I was sitting in those cars, it was something new to me. You go into a turn and you are like this (he demonstrates by swerving sideways), and I did not expect that but I had to sit in it to get the feel of how the car moves," he said, adding that he would not do it again.Having acted in movies like Infernal Affairs trilogy, Jiang Hu, and the Twin Effect, Chen, 24, has come a long way from being the new kid on the block returning from Canada to Hong Kong."It was hard for me at the beginning as I had no friends, I was continually being ridiculed in the papers. It was tough speaking in Cantonese again and it took me about two years to get into the groove, but now I am in that groove and I hope it continues and I can learn more," he says.

While he is grateful to friends like Eason Chan and MirianYeung who helped him settle in Hong Kong, Anthony Wong and Andrew Lau for teaching him how to act, he is particularly grateful to his fans. "I did not feel like myself when I was acting in the early movies or on stage singing, and there was a point when I felt like quitting, and without my fans and their support I would probably have quit," he says. While he has been quite successful, he remains humble. "I eat, sleep, go to the bathroom and do everything a normal person does, except what I do is entertain you, and I hope nobody looks up to me and thinks I am better than them, because I am not," he says.He also hopes all young people will stop following trends and instead embrace their individuality."In my albums I include messages that tell people not to care about what others say and to be yourself. No one is better than you in this world," he says.

Unlike Chen, Yue, however likes racing cars."I learnt how to race cars before I shot the film, and I also went to Japan to learn how to drift, so I mastered most of the skills," says the 23-year-old.Yue has been fortunate to work with some of the biggest names in the industry like Anthony Wong."I have always wanted to work with these people and it was difficult meeting them for the first time but after a while I found Anthony Wong to be very giving and he took care of us."Wong in particular taught us a lot about acting and the film industry, and how to perform and look at characters and prepare for films," says Yue.Things could have been different for the athletic Yue. When he was younger, he had the option of playing basketball professionally, having represented Hong Kong at international level when he was 18."I had to choose between acting and basketball, but I realised it was harder to make it as a basketball player in Hong Kong and there was a better future in acting. Furthermore, the career lifespan of a sportsman is shorter than of an actor," he reasons.Since then, he has not looked back and will be launching his first album in the next two months. "As a singer, I want to do more charity work and take part in events that promote a healthy lifestyle, and I hope fans will be influenced in a positive way to adopt a healthy lifestyle and do positive things," he says.

GTA Fan Killed Own Parents

GTA linked to homicide in Japan
Game industry suffers more troubles as a 15-year-old accused killer is reported to be a fan of Grand Theft Auto III.TOKYO--Japan was shocked this week by an incident in which a 15-year-old boy allegedly murdered his parents by battering them and then slashing them to death. He then concealed his crime by blowing up their Tokyo apartment, using homemade explosives.

Today, some media outlets are reporting that the boy's schoolmates have described him as an average student who loved playing video games and who was a fan of Grand Theft Auto III.
The boy was arrested yesterday at a hot springs resort in the Gunma prefecture. According to police, the boy admitted to his crime when confronted, reportedly saying, "I wanted to kill my father since he made a fool out of me. I decided to kill my mother as well, since she was always saying that she wanted to die because of all the work she had to do. I felt sorry for her."

Grand Theft Auto III's Japanese publisher, Capcom--and the entire Japanese game industry--have been facing an onslaught of criticism recently, primarily in the Kanagawa prefecture where the local government has decided to put age restrictions on the sale of the game.

Another Teenage Article

You Have Got To Help Me!!! It's Really Serious. I Don't Know Why I Behave In This Way. I Am A 14-yrs-old Indian Girl Who Always Touches Her Private Parts. Where There Is No One At Home, I Engage In Sexual Activities By Myself. I Once Inserted A Pencil Into My Vagina Because I Wanted To Know What It Feels Like To Have A Guy Insert His Penis Into My Vagina. I Also Fondle My Breasts And Dream Of A Guy Doing This To Me. I Am Always Thinking About Sex!!
I Have Not Had My Period For 5 Months. I Am Really Scared. If You Don't Have Your Period, Is It Alright To Use A Tamapon? Will I Lose My Virginity If I Insert A Pencil Into My Vagina? Should I See A Doctor? Sometimes I Feel Like A Prostitute, Sometimes I Even Wanted To Be A Prostitute When I Grow Up! Oh My God, Please Help Me! I'm Going Crazy !!!!!
____________________________________________________________________
Reply From Teenage :

My Goodness, I Am Worried About You. Have You Been Reading Or Watching Porn? How Is It That You Know So Much About Sex And Want It So Much? It Is Very Unhealthy For Someone Your Age To Be So Consumed By Sexual Thoughts. I Understand Your Fear You Are Experiencing. It Appears That You Are Suffering From An Extreme Case Of Raging Hormones. Only A Medical Examination Can Confirm Why You Have Stopped Menstruating For Nearly Half A Year. However, I Have o Add THat During The Early Teen Years, Periods Can Be Notoriously Irregular But There Is No Harm In Getting Yourself Medically Checked Out. It Will Make You Feel Better. Let Us Now Turn To Your Sexual Activities.

First, Let Me Assure You That A Pencil Feels Nothing Like A Penis. Second, I Don't Recommend You Shove Objects Into Your Vagina As You Might Suffer Some Kind Of Contamination From These Foreign Objects. Another Thing Is That Why Do You Use A Tamapon When You Don't Have Your Period? If You Think It Feels Like A Penis, Then You Are Wrong Again. Speak To A Doctor About These Things. You Must Tell The Doctor Everything You Have Told Me And Ask For Assistance. You Can't Go On This Way Or You May Really Injure Yourself. After Seeing A Doctor, I Suggest You Look For A Consellor As You Need Some Face-To-Face Sessions To Resolve Your Sexual Activities. Your Fixation With Sex Is Unhealthy And I'm Sure It Affects Your Performance In School.

You Seem To Spend For Too Much Time Alone. You Should Engage In More Activities Like Sports, Hobbies That Involves Other Young People Or Maybe Take Up A Course At The Community Centre. Try To Engagae In More Activities Which Will Tire You Out So You Will Think Less About Sex. Try To Stop Watching Pornography If You're Still Watching. This Is The Most I Can Do To Help You. The Rest Is All Up To You. I Hope You Can Wrtie Back To Me After Your Lifestyle Has Changed.

Reds To Defend European Crown

Liverpool To Defend European Title

Liverpool will be allowed to defend their Champions League trophy next season and the rules have been changed to ensure the holders will always qualify for the following season's competition, UEFA said on Friday.
Liverpool's fifth-place finish in the Premier League meant they were not entitled to a place in next season's Champions League, despite lifting the trophy after a penalty shootout win over AC Milan in last month's final.
UEFA's executive committee decided, however, in 'an exceptional decision' to allow them into the competition's first qualifying round, with their opening match on July 12 or 13. The draw for the first qualifying round takes place on June 24.

It means that England will have five representatives in the competition -- champions Chelsea, runners-up Arsenal, Manchester United, Everton and Liverpool. It is the first time any country has had more than four representatives and, according to UEFA, will be the last.
UEFA's statement said the number of clubs allowed per national association 'will remain stable, based on coefficient ranking.'
Therefore, from next season, a club winning the Champions League but finishing outside their country's allocation will qualify automatically at the expense of the lowest of the clubs above them.
UEFA chief executive Lars-Christer Olsson said the decision had been unanimous.
'There were no discussions on where they should enter the competition because everybody was of the opinion they should be given the opportunity but they have to start from the beginning,' he told the BBC.

It means that to retain the Champions League title Liverpool would have to play 19 matches, the first four in July and the first week of August, when they had planned a two-match tour to Japan.
'We welcome the decision to allow us in the competition next season,' Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry told the club's website.
'We will now consider the implications this will have on the pre-season training camp and Japanese tour.'
Liverpool's presence next season means that the four other English clubs' financial share in the Champions League will be reduced as the TV pot is cut five ways.
Liverpool will not be given 'country protection', meaning they could be drawn against another English side, including city rivals Everton, if they progress to the latter stages
.

Brian Barwick, the chief executive of the English FA, thanked UEFA and president Lennart Johansson 'for listening to the strength of the argument for Liverpool's entry'.
'The overwhelming view across Europe was that they should be given this opportunity, and this was reflected by the UEFA Executive Committee's decision,' he told the FA website.
'We always said that this was an exceptional situation which required an exceptional solution.'
The FA had decided not to follow a Spanish precedent by putting Liverpool forward at the expense of fourth-placed finishers, Everton.
Real Madrid were crowned European champions in 2000 but finished fifth in the Primera Liga, prompting the Spanish FA to enter them for the following season's Champions League and relegate fourth-placed Real Zaragoza to the UEFA Cup.
Friday's decision is also good news for Fenerbahce, Wisla Krakow, and the teams vying for the Romanian league title.
Because UEFA had always allocated a place in the group stage for the holders, Liverpool's absence opened a slot that will now be filled by Turkish champions Fenerbahce, who originally would have had to play in the third qualifying round.
Polish champions Wisla move up from the second qualifying round to the third, while the Romanian champions -- whose identity will be discovered on Saturday -- move up from the first qualifying round.
Manchester City, who finished eighth in the Premier League, had hoped to take the UEFA Cup slot vacated by Liverpool but UEFA said that would not be the case and no extra club would go into the second-tier competition.

Visual Rock Group - Dir~En~Grey

Dir~En~Grey
I'm Gonna Introduce A Visual-Kei Rock Band. They Are Call Dir~En~Grey. All The Introductions I Took It From A Website Of Them.
I will say this right away: Dir en grey is an acquired taste of the extreme kind. Hearing the "wrong" songs first can quickly build preconceptions and qualms if one is not use to such spicy music. Now that this is out of the way, let the praising begin!
Anyone that leaves his or her taboos out the door is bound to fall for the disturbing charm of Dir en grey. Very few songs manage to leave me shaking on the floor in foetal position but many of their creations have that particular effect. Originality is once again the name of the game and even if it is hard to notice it at first, this band splendidly diversifies its repertoire but always keeps the intensity present. That intensity is sometimes pushed to the edge in their more offensive songs such as Zan, yet such an insane pandemonium of sound still rubs me the right way when I feel like letting off some steam or simply bask in a storm.
One of the most versatile instruments in Dir en grey’s arsenal is Kyo’s voice, which ranges from whispering to hysterical, sometimes leaping between the two every few seconds. Raw and hard to endure, his touch has a deep impact on the psychological effect of their songs. Even if a stereo cannot emulate the energy he displays on stage, his voice and words certainly overcompensates for that misfortune.
It is, however, the bass, played by Toshiya, that I tend to prefer in DeG’s music. Habitually fast and always fluctuating, his lines are one of the main reasons his band stands above the crowd, and that his talent remains hardly rivalled. There are of course plenty of other reasons, notably called Shinya, Kaoru and Die.
Shinya's androgynous ways are reminiscent of many famous Japanese musicians and while she... he is far from being able to perform the exploits of his alter-ego and mentor, Yoshiki of X Japan, his drumming is nothing short of amazing. The two guitars have been improving immensely throughout the years and have now reached a peak in excellence. There is no lead or accompanying guitar in their case; both are equally present and skilful. Where Kaoru has the edge, however, is in music composition. He wrote or co-wrote most of Dir en grey’s songs but I must commend the band for their individual participation in music. Many groups’ success rests on the imagination of a single member but every member of this one wrote, at the very least, one song I adore.
It first seems as if DeG appeared out of nowhere. Their popularity surely came briskly but the band was not at its first steps when they reached the top. Formally known as La:Sadies, Dir en grey was officially announced in 1997 when Toshiya joined the group. They then released their first mini-album, Missa, which contained six songs including the now popular Garden and Erode.
