Went To Watch " I Not Stupid Too " With Shun This Week. Actually I Don't Really Like Local Movies But This Show Is Really Good. In My Opinion It's The Best Local Movie Until Now Liao. Thumbs Up For Jack Neo.

I'm Gonna Write A Review On The Movie And Some Thoughts About The Movie Below. There May Be Spoilers So Beware !

The Storys Talks About 3 Boys, Tom And Jerry Who Are Brothers With Tom Being The Elder Brother And Jerry The Younger One, And ChengCai. I'll Talk About Jerry First Becuz There's Lesser Story About Him.

Jerry Is The Younger Brother Of Tom. He's Somehow Being Disliked By His Brother Which I Dunno Why Lah. I Forgot To Mention That They Are A Rich Family. Jack Neo Being Their Dad Earns Alot And I Do Mean ALOT And Xiang Yun As Their Mum Who's Also Working. Back To Jerry, Jerry Is A Blur-Fuck Which Always Kena Disturb By His Classmates. There Was An Incident Which His Frenz Played A Prank On Him Which Makes Him Kiss His Classmate And Sleeps Together. His Classmates Disturb Him And Say The Ger Will Get Pregnant After All These Procedures And Alot Of Craps Happens Within. ( Watch The Show For More Details )

He Was Given A Lead Role By His Teacher For A Stageplay In The School. The Teacher Asked Him Whether His Parents Will Be Attending And Watching The Play In School Or Not. He Was Unable To Confirm It With His Teacher Because He Doesn't Get A Chance To Talk To His Parents Coz They Are Just So Busy Earning Money. So One Time He Was Caught Stealing Money In School And Was Being Punished By His Dad. When His Dad Asked Him Why He Stole The Money, He Said He Stole The Money Because He Wanted To Pay His Dad $500 To Just Buy An Hour From Him So That His Dad And Mum Can Attend To His Play And Not Work And Work And Neglect Him.

Now To Tom And ChengCai. Both Of Them Are Classmates In School. Both Of Them Belonged To The Normal Technical Stream Which Is So-Called The Worst Sec Sch Stream. Their Class Is Forever Being Looked Down In School And Given Up By The Teachers. Their Class Is Called " The Rotten Apple " Class Coz They Are Just Hopeless.

ChengCai Is Some Sort Of An Ah-Beng Lah Coz He's Not Being Brought Up Well Due To His Dad Is A Former Gangster And His Mom Is Already Not Around. He Doesn't Study And Often Fight With His Dad. His Dad Doesn't Know How To Show Care And Concern Except By Beating Him Up Whenever He Does Something Wrong.

ChengCai And Tom Are Like Buddies In Class. Always Together. There Was A Time When Tom Going To Kena Whack By Those Ah Bengs, ChengCai Comes To Save The Day. Den After That, Due To Neglected By Their Parents, They Slowly Turned From Bad To Worse. Beating Their Teacher, Joining Gangs And Stealing.

This Movie Somehows Reminds Me Of My Secondary School Life. Coz I Repeated My Sec3 Because Of Failing English And Not Flunk My Exams. I Repeated My Sec3 Again With 8 Of My Frenz. All Of Us Repeated Becuz Failing English, No More. We Were Like Being Treated As Troublemakers And Useless Students. We Were Like Being Given Up By The Teachers Because We Dun Pay Attention In Class, Sleep In Class And Sometimes MIA.

We Did make Trouble Sometimes But Not All Are Us. Whenever There's Trouble In The School, All Fingers Will Be Pointed At Us. WHY US ! Repeat Students Means Rubbish Lah, NT Students Cannot Study Also Call Rubbish Lah. Why Must The People Around Us Use This Kind Of View To Look At Us. Why Can't They Use Other Views To Look At Us.

Repeating The Level Is Actually A Good Thing Because It Gives Us A Chance To Do The Things Again But Becuz Of All These People, We DO Feel Uncomfortable. I Know This Is Human Nature. But Are They Really Giving Us A Chance Or Just Finding A Chance To Fucking Make Fun Of Us And Laugh At Us? All These I Dunno Lah. Some Of The Teachers Do Give Us Chances And Encourage Us. I Remember One Of My Teacher Still Ask Us To Mix Around Coz We Repeated So We Can Help The Others In Their School Work Coz He Know Actually We're Quite Good With Our Work Lah. But Most Of The Teachers Label Us As Troublemakers. Last Time One Of My Teachers Still Ask The Sec3s Dun Mix Wif Us Cuz Mix Wif Us Later They Ownself Will Repeat. Fucking DogEyes.

Parents. Parents Do Play A Big Part In Our Life. As What Most Parents Will Do When We Did Something Wrong. Scold, Whack, Punish. Why Izzit Always Like This? When We're Small, This Is Feasible Coz We're Still Small. But When We Reaches Secondary School, NO ! Coz When We Grow Up, We Tend To Have Our Views, Our " Wings " Tend To Grow Harder, We Tend To Be More Rebellious. When This Time Comes, Reasoning And Talking Will Do The Job And Not Scold Whack Punish. The More You Scold, The More We Will Oppose You.

Having Time With Them Does Do Wonders. Even Though The Parents Are Busy, Please Dig Out Time To Accompany Them. During This Time, What They Need Is Family Warmth And Not Money. Money Can't Buy You Warmth. Money Can't Buy You Care And Concern. This Is My View On Rich Kids Which Are Hao Lian Becuz Of This. They Shut Themselves Up. They Dun Wanna Mix With The World. They Feel Strange To The World Because There's No Care, Concern And Warmth For Them. Only The Parents Can Open The Door Within Them.

Sorry For This Long Post But This Show Does Remind Me Of Myself. When I'm Small, My Dad Always Use WHACK AND WHACK Coz My Dad Isn't Really Educated. After That During Sec1 After My Dad Passed Away. My Mom Had To Work To Support The Family. I'm Not From A Rich Family, Just A Normal Family. But Becuz My Mom Had To Work Long Hours. She Trys To Buy Things That We Wanted.

After When I Reached Sec3, I Started To Change Abit Bad Lah. I Admit I Do Steal Things From Outside And Was Never Caught Before. I Was So Proud Of It Last Time But Now Thinking Back, It Was Stupid. Always Going Out In A Big Group Becuz It Gives Us A Sense Of Belonging. Frenz Do Things Together, Study Together, Play Together. Last Time Somemore I Got Work Part-time. I Think My Mom Also Dun See Me Often. All These Will Lead To Miscommunications Between Parents And Kids.

Ok Lah, Dat's About All Lah. Actually Still Got Alot To Talk On But I'm Starting To Get Lazy To Type Liao Somemore TV Now Got 5566. I Wanna Watch My XieZhi Ge. This Show I'll Give 8.5 Out Of 10. One Of The Best Local Productions I've Watched. Parents Should Watch With Their Kids So That They Will Be Able To Understand Each Other. TEAHCERS Must Watch So That They Will Have A Better View On Student From Normal Tech And Repeated Students.
